Camp will reopen on its 100th year anniversary!
Now that construction is fully underway, our focus in on the next 100 years. We want Camp to feel, smell, and sound like the Tuolumne you left.
There will be a new director, new staff, and almost a generation lost at Tuolumne. With support from the City and feedback from the community, the Friends have been working on several new projects we are excited to share with you!
1. After 9 years, the new staff will need mentoring on our traditions, art, songs, activities… and the ‘Tuolumne Spirit’.
2. Campers want a diverse and inclusive camp community and staff that welcomes anyone and everyone.
3. We are creating a Nature Reforestation and Stewardship plan for years to come, to grow back a healthy forest, buy and plant thousands of plants and trees.
In 2019 we raised $1 million so that structural shade could be designed, built and installed in main camp, mature trees planted and trails restored after the devastating Rim Fire. That work is underway thanks to you.
But there is so much more to do before Camp reopens in 2022. Please help us reach our goals.
